What I do
I’m a freelance writer. I’m a mom. I’m a secretary at a pediatric therapy clinic. I’m a music lover and an athlete. I’m a reader and a college football fan. I’ve been a contributing writer at The Music Mamas, VisitSouth.com and Book End Babes.
I’m an award-winning journalist with 18 years of writing and editing experience. I’ve written for Parenting, Healthy Children, Game On, Volta Voices, and Preserve Your Memory. I’ve worked at the Dallas Morning News, The Huntsville Times, and The TimesDaily. I write about health, fitness, travel, parenting, and sports with a little pop culture mixed in, because who doesn’t like a little rock ’n’ roll with their workouts and errand-running?
When it comes to music, I grew up on Elvis, the Commodores, Loretta Lynn, Don Williams, and Merle Haggard. I love Bon Jovi, Jonathan Tyler & The Northern Lights, Kelly Clarkson, Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Pink, and Amos Lee. I adore the ’80s and boy bands from New Kids on the Block to One Direction, and, yes, even Justin Bieber.
And I rock.
